Basic Functions
Provide direct and indirect age-specific patient care services for assigned patients in general nursing units per scheduled shifts within framework of Patient Centered Care (PCC). Perform nursing duties that meet the physical, psychosocial, cultural, and general needs of the patient and family, while maintaining institution requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with team members about changes in patient's clinical condition. Abide by the Joint Commission International (JCI) requirements, including but not limited to International Patient Safety Goals, national and international standards.
Support the mission and vision of the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) and of the Nursing Services Department.
Minimum Requirements
- Practical Nurse Diploma
- No experience required.
- Strong command of Arabic and English.
- Basic knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office.

Board and Administration
The General Assembly, which is composed of all the members, elects periodically an Administrative Council composed of 12 members to act as the governing body of the Syndicate of Hospitals in Lebanon. From within its members, the Administrative Council elects an Executive Committee composed of the President, the Vice-President, the Secretary and the Treasurer. There are also Standing Committees for:
- Legal studies and hospital ethics.
- Financial, economic and statistical studies.
- Information and scientific affairs.
- Professional medical and paramedical staff.
- Hospitals for long stay.
The Syndicate of Hospitals also comprises an Administration body, a Legal Counselor, a Media Consultant and a Research and development Coordinator
