Nurse Manager Vacancy

Basic Functions
Responsible and accountable for a given patient care unit 24 hours a day in alignment with theorganizational values and goals. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, supervising andevaluating the delivery of patient centered care within established institution's policies, procedures,guidelines, and standards of professional nursing practice. Address patients and their families andperform interventions as needed. Coordinate the care needed for a patient with different disciplines.Replace nurses when sick leave arises,through management of human, financial and otherresources; professional development of oneself and subordinates; involvement in strategic planningand fostering interdisciplinary and collaborative relationships. Participate in planning activities topromote Magnet in the Nursing Services. Enforce Joint Commission International (JCI)requirements, including but not limited to International Patient Safety Goals, national andinternational standards.
Supports the mission and vision of the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) andthe Nursing Services Department.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Master's Degree in Nursing or related field is preferred.
- Nursing Colloquium, Nursing License from the Ministry of Public Health and Registered in the
- Order of Nurses in Lebanon is required.
- 5-7 years of experience as Registered Nurse.
- Strong Command of Arabic and English (EEE >/= 500). French is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Board and Administration
The General Assembly, which is composed of all the members, elects periodically an Administrative Council composed of 12 members to act as the governing body of the Syndicate of Hospitals in Lebanon. From within its members, the Administrative Council elects an Executive Committee composed of the President, the Vice-President, the Secretary and the Treasurer. There are also Standing Committees for:
- Legal studies and hospital ethics.
- Financial, economic and statistical studies.
- Information and scientific affairs.
- Professional medical and paramedical staff.
- Hospitals for long stay.
The Syndicate of Hospitals also comprises an Administration body, a Legal Counselor, a Media Consultant and a Research and development Coordinator
